Thank You Prayer,

Thank you, Lord, for giving me a wonderful second family - the church. May I look to this family in both good times and bad. Help me to extend a hand when there are needs, and raise a hand and ask for help when I can’t manage things on my own. What a wonderful gift my church is to me!

Refreshed in Him,

Lu Baker Deitz

Constitution Review Committee Appointed

The following individuals have been appointed and have agreed to serve on an Advisory Constitution Review Committee: Bennett Kann, Myron McClain and Paul Snyder. Over the next couple of months the committee will review the church constitution and investigate other similar church constitutions, with the possibility of recommending changes or revisions to the Trustee and Deacon leadership.

Any changes to the constitution will be put forth to the total church membership for final approval with ample advance notice. The church appreciates the service of these men on this task.

Mandatory Crosstown Training - August 29 or August 31

All Children’s Ministries volunteers (i.e., nursery care providers, Sunday School teachers and helpers, Kids Church leaders, and AWANA workers) must attend one of the following training sessions: Sunday, August 29, from 6-8 pm -or- Tuesday, August 31, from 7-9 pm. They are identical sessions, so you need to attend only one. Child care will be provided both nights, and snacks will be provided as well. Please sign up in the Crosstown office and indicate which night you will attend so we can plan accordingly.

If you are not currently serving but have a heart to encourage, help, or teach children, hold babies, or play with toddlers, contact the Crosstown office to find a place to serve.
