Today,
I give thanks to God's goodness and grace in my life. If I really take the time
to quietly reflect upon it, I am overwhelmed at what He has given to me, done
for me. The gifts of my parents, a loving and believing wife, my children and
friends can never be replaced. God lives through me - with the blessings He has
given me. I thank Him and praise Him every day for taking part in my life. He
has graced me with His love - much more than I deserve.
My life is not perfect, but I know with God at the center, I can't go
completely wrong. God is in control and He promises to protect me in spite of
all my shortcomings. Knowing this helps to remind me that serving God is a
privilege.
And the great thing about God is that He is an Equal Opportunity God. Every
believer can make a difference for God from the President of the United States
to the poorest unskilled healthcare worker in India (e.g. Mother Teresa).
Don't underestimate how God can work in your life. He is always with us.
Through prayer and perseverance He will show us how to make a difference. He
will show us ways to make a difference in our church or in someone's life. What
better time to rededicate our lives to serving God than the month we celebrate
the birth of Christ, our Savior.
In Christ,
John Bogniard
