As
I write this greeting, my thoughts turn to my
obligation to you as a church leader. It is truly a privilege I take
very seriously. As you know, our system of election means God placed
my name on your hearts for me to serve The Chapel. I pray regularly
for wisdom, and I ask you to pray for each leader of this church. We
deeply need your support.
Along
these same lines, in a short time we will have the annual church
meeting. This is a time of great responsibility for all of us. We will
gather and decide the direction of The Chapel in 1995 and beyond. What
is our direction? What is our purpose as a church body? What are we,
as individual members of this church, willing to do for Christ? Daily
be asking God to make clear to you what your obligation is to your
brothers and sisters at The Chapel.
For
the November 12 meeting, I pray that we who make up the body of Christ
come out. For if God is important to you, don't you think His children
should be important to one another? Second, I pray that each Christian
comes with the love of Christ for each other so that truly God's plan
can be made clear. God is pleased when His children are of one body,
caring more for the unity than individuals and He will continue to
bless us for being faithful and loving. Thank you for your prayers for
your leaders. Please don't stop, because this gives us so much
encouragement to continue to be faithful to God and you.
God
Bless,
Pat
Jones
