Dear Chapel Brothers and Sisters,
Summertime is upon us. God's artwork is all around us to enjoy; picnics, camping swimming, hiking and so much more. As we plan to take off on vacations to the many wonderful places in the great U.S., let us not forget to take your Lord and your Bible, His road map, along. We seem to ask God for protection and safety on our trip and then leave Him behind. Imagine that you helped to pack and load the car. You might have been asked about what to see or to do on the trip, then, everyone said "thanks", but tells you to stay home. How would you feel? Imagine that you worked overtime and made many sacrifices so that your family could go and then they tell you that they don't need you for the next two weeks. Of course, they want you to stay by the phone in case of an emergency. Now, how do you feel?
Please take a wonderful vacation this summer and make sure that your heavenly Father is there to enjoy and assist you along the way. Remember, we may take a break from our jobs, but we should never want a break from our Lord.
May God Bless You Always,
Pat Jones
