Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light”
This summer we will be doing Group Publishing’s exciting VBS program called “Crocodile Dock.” Sign up next week at our display in the lobby to volunteer or pick up a list of items you can donate to help out. Visit Group Publishing’s web site at www.groupvbs.com/crocodiledock/ for more information about this summer’s Vacation Bible School.

Service Opportunities for High School Students: Attention High School Students! If you are a Key Club or National Honor Society student looking for service opportunities, you could fulfill that obligation and be a blessing to Crosstown Ministries by volunteering to be a “Buddy”.  This is a one-on-one nurturing commitment to serve on Sunday mornings.  Contact Kelly Hansen at 330-494-3419 ext. 320 if you are interested.

Classroom Changes

  • The First grade class has been moved to Room 114 (old AWANA office)

  • The Second grade class is now in Room 111

  • The AWANA office is now located across from the FLC in Room 108

  • The AWANA bulletin board in now located in the CM hallway by room 108

AWANA is winding down for the year...

  • We are finishing another great year at AWANA.

  • Our last Regular club meeting will be April 29th

  • We will have AWANA Awards on Wednesday, May 6th at 6:20 in the FLC.  Parents should attend this evening with their kids.

  • Childcare for AWANA will end on 4/29/09.

AWANA, one of the largest, nondenominational children’s and youth ministries in the world, stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” from 2Timothy 2:15. AWANA clubs are active in more than 110 countries around the world and their mission is to “help churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ.” At The Chapel, our AWANA club meets on Wednesday nights from 6:25 - 8:15 p.m. in the Family Life Center, and is open to children age 3 through grade 6. If you’re thinking about registering your child for AWANA, consider the following:

  • Programs are fully integrated and dynamic

  • It’s a great evangelism tool to reach unsaved children and families, so invite your friends!

  • It will help build an enduring biblical faith

  • It brings our church and parents together to disciple the next generation

  • We provide ongoing volunteer training

  • It provides healthy peer relationships

  • It’s fun for children, teens and adults alike!
